FIVE WAYS TO GAIN WEBSITE TRAFFIC FROM PINTEREST

FIVE WAYS TO GAIN WEBSITE TRAFFIC FROM PINTEREST
Pinterest, the third most popular social network in America, is growing every day. If your brand value can be communicated through photos and videos, Pinterest is a great way for you to connect with people and drive traffic to your website.
Pinterest users “pin” their favorite things onto personalized pinboards. Each pin is a link to an external website, so if you pin content from your website, then users will be automatically directed there when they click on your pins. If your pins attract the attention of popular users who re-pin your content to their boards, you may end up with thousands of new visitors to your website! The following five tips will help you create interesting, share-worthy pins.
  1. Pin ideas, not items. For example, instead of pinning a photo of your new organic fruit juice, pin a photo of a delicious-looking cocktail made with your new organic fruit juice.
  2. Create text images. If you share quotes on your blog, take the time to create typographic images of those quotes. If the message is relevant and the colors and typography are aesthetically pleasing, these pins can bring you lots of attention.
  3. Create infographics. Infographics are popular on Pinterest because they’re useful and eye-catching. Drive traffic by pinning the top half of an infographic and enticing users to click through to your website to view the bottom half.
  4. Pin how-to videos. Pinterest is a terrific place to share helpful video clips. You can link the videos back to your YouTube channel or directly to your website.
  5. Pin when Pinterest is busy. Pinterest users are most active in the afternoon and early evening. If you’re pinning outside of that time period, you’re not reaching the largest possible audience.
Pinterest can be a highly effective way to interact with your brand’s target audience. If you take the time to provide valuable content, your pins can drive a significant amount of traffic to your website. Happy pinning!

FIVE MISTAKES THAT CAN RUIN YOUR WEBSITE

FIVE MISTAKES THAT CAN RUIN YOUR WEBSITE
Gone are the days when simply having a website was enough to give your business a competitive advantage. Now that practically every brand has an Internet presence, it’s crucial to make sure your website is strategically designed to help you stand out. Whether you design your own site or hire an experienced pro to help you, avoiding these five common errors will help you to create a website that drives new leads and keeps customers coming back.
  1. Illegible Design: Make sure your visitors can read your website. Choose a professional-looking, light-colored background and a text color that is dark enough to see clearly against the background. Use easy-to-read fonts – nothing with swoops and swirls.
  2. Overwhelming Content: People like to scan when they read websites, so enormous paragraphs are a turn-off. Keep paragraphs to no more than two or three sentences and include headings and subheadings wherever it makes sense.
  3. A Confusing Display: New website visitors only spend a few seconds figuring out if you have what they want before moving on. Make sure your navigation bar is easy to find, include no more than six options on that bar, and be sure that the name of each option clearly explains what the visitor will find when he clicks.
  4. No Call to Action: Every page of your website should ask the visitor to do something specific: click for more information, watch a video, email you, and so on. Tell your visitors specifically what to do and make it easy for them to do it.
  5. Your site is all about you: Don’t be the website version of the obnoxious guy at a party who only talks about himself. Make sure you address your customers’ wants, needs, and pain points and explain how your brand is a great solution. If you show your visitors how they will benefit by choosing your brand over the competition, the chances are much greater that they will do just that.
It’s true that the stakes are higher than ever when designing a website for your business, but the good news is that it’s not hard to make small changes that will yield huge results. If you make even one of the changes listed above, you can dramatically improve your website’s performance. What are you waiting for? Go make some improvements to your site and watch your business grow!

How to Unblock Someone on Facebook

Want to unblock someone on Facebook? This guide will show you how to do it.

Once you have logged in to Facebook, click on the small triangleat the top right hand corner of the page and then select the option that says “Privacy Settings.”

Once you have done that, near the bottom of the page, at the right extreme of the area called “Blocked People and Apps,” click on the link that says “Manage Blocking,” pointed by the red arrow in the next image:

On the new page, near the center of the screen, you will see the list of all the users you blocked. In that list, click on the Unblocklink at the right hand side of the user you want to unblock, as shown in the next image:

Facebook will ask you to confirm the action. Just click on the"Confirm" button and the task will be finished.

Once someone is unblocked, this person is able to view your profile and contact you within the restrictions of your privacy settings. If you were friends before the blocking, this connection will not be restored unless a new friend request is sent and accepted. Also keep in mind that, during the next 48 hours after you unblock someone, you cannot block this person again.
